My passion for nursing can be traced back to my pre-professional days. I always gravitated toward those who needed physical or emotional help, and I take pride in knowing that I aided someone's recovery. This combined with my background in customer service/sales and leadership experience has created a unique melting pot of professionalism and compassion.
I am a bachelor's prepared nurse who graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage, one of the most prestigious nursing schools in Alaska. My educational background alongside my professional past allows me to bring positivity and support to my patients during their most trying times along with the clinical knowledge to execute exceptional nursing care. I wanted to showcase some of the projects and other work I completed during my time in the UAA school of nursing, as well as other certificates and volunteer work I was able to complete at UAA and throughout my career, so please enjoy!
Informatics Group Project
This informatics project was one of the first projects I worked on in nursing school. Our group was tasked with creating a fictional app to help meet one of the Healthy People 2030 goals, and my group chose to create an app that helped increase the number of hours that adults sleep on average.
Nursing Benzodiazepine Website
Myself and a few other nursing students designed this website in order to allow nurses and patients quick education about this class of drug.
Proof of Volunteer Hours
I had the privilege of spending the day administering flu vaccines to geriatric patients in coordination with the Pharmacy program at UAA.

Disease Museum: Coronavirus
For my community project, a group of nursing students that included myself had to showcase a disease's impacts on global health. My group chose COVID-19 because we created this project at the beginning of this pandemic.
Additional Training for Alaskan Foster Parents
I wrote this advocacy paper in order to argue the case for increasing the trauma-informed training requirements for foster parents in the state of Alaska. Included in this paper is a letter to Representative Les Gara advocating for this issue
Hands are helpful not harmful
This video was created by myself along with several other nursing students as a PSA about the effects of spanking on adolescent and emerging adult mental health.
